Canonteign Cottage
Managed by Classic Cottages
Not only are you set within the magical Canonteign Falls grounds, but you also have free and unlimited access to enjoy and explore the waterfalls and parklands of Canonteign Falls at your leisure (within the opening hours). What a nice treat, especially as there is a lovely cafe and gift shop on site for your pleasure.
The external space at Canonteign Cottage is rather special too. Whether it's enjoying the heated swimming pool on those glorious summer days (heated from Easter to the end of September) or lazing in the bubbling hot tub of an evening, a holiday in this very special cottage has something for everyone. Not forgetting your four-legged friends who will be delighted with the endless grounds and space to enjoy.
On retiring for the day, inside the cottage you are treated to two dining-areas, a fabulous breakfast table, or a more formal setting for that special meal. The sitting-room is perfect for snuggling up in after a day of fun and adventure, complemented by a glowing wood-burner for those chillier evenings, and there is even a snug area for those who seek a little more peace and tranquility.
When it comes to bedtime, this cottage offers great flexibility, especially for that special family get together, with two twin rooms and two double rooms, along with three bathrooms/shower rooms at your disposal, everyone's needs will be comfortably catered for.
Should you wish to venture out of this magical location, the wonders of the majestic Dartmoor National Park are at your fingertips boasting numerous walks, trails and the most special sights in every direction. However if a day at the beach is a popular request, you are spoilt for choice with beaches such as Teignmouth, Exmouth, Dawlish and Torquay all being a short car journey away.
You are also surrounded by some of Devon's most popular small villages and towns, all offering a very friendly and traditional welcome, none more so than the local pub which is less than one mile away.

A stunning cottage set in the ground of Canonteign Falls.
When you walk across the bridge, open up the doors you are welcomed to a beautiful vase of flowers and welcome gifts.
What a lovely surprise!
Folders were so detailed and extremely helpful and full of information.
Dos Don'ts. How tos. Places to go, things to see.
This is by far the best informative folder I have seen on holiday cottages.
The fridge and dry store cupboards are stocked with some basic essentials and some extra things you may of forgotten to bring.
We didn't require to use them but
This gave me a smile and a comforting feel as if you'd just returned home.
I took my shoes off in the kitchen (after a long hike near the area) and made myself a nice cup of coffee, popped on some jazz music and exhaled.
The rat race has finished its time for some peace.
Just as I took a sip and glanced up out the window I had a view across the way of two stunning ponies in a paddock.
Just stunning.
We explored the garden and there is a lovely pond with some ducklings swimming over to greet us.
The dogs enjoyed a potter around and are plenty of space and smells to keep them occupied.
Ours stayed mostly in the kitchen with fans on, it was quite hot weather when we arrived.
They were rather envious of our pool time! Nonetheless...
They enjoyed the extra peace.
Overall there is a good amount of space outdoors for your furry family members.
The cleaning team had set up fans on a timer around the cottage which was again another lovely touch.
Gorgeous floral and herbal scents filled the air.
The standard of cleaning was exemplary.
The bedrooms we nicely decorated with great style.
The preservation of history of this property is warming and on display you will see some of its history in framed photographs on the wall.
I felt every thing was thought of in this cottage.
There was really nothing we needed at all.
I would absolutely recommend this for a holiday.
If you are a walker and want luxury time away and to explore the surrounding areas outside of Canonteign falls and come back to a charming cottage soak the aches away in the hot tub, this is the place for you.
If you want luxury days by the pool, this is the place for you.
The whole team involved in the management and upkeep of this cottage really shows their true passion and care for a beautifully set piece of history.
Thank you.
