Primrose Cottage
Managed by Classic Cottages
The cottage is located within the pretty village of Walditch (about five minutes from Bridport) and will fill you with a cosy and homely feeling as soon as you walk in. The sitting-room is a lovely comfortable space with plenty of seating and a wonderful wood- burning stove for snug nights in. It leads straight into the traditional cottage kitchen which is well-equipped with everything you will need for whipping up some tasty treats. Off the kitchen and up a couple of steps you will find yourself in a wonderful sun-room/dining space with delightful garden views.
Heading upstairs you will find two bright and cosy double bedrooms full of original features. The rear bedroom has lovely views out over the stunning garden as does the family bathroom which is just across the landing and very spacious. The peace and quiet in the cottage is palpable and bodes well for some sound sleeps and long lie-ins.
Head outside and up the steps you will discover the tiered garden to be a real treat. Areas of lawn, a vegetable patch, curated landscaping and even a wonderful studio room - perfect for a spot of yoga perhaps, al fresco dining or just a comfy spot to while away the hours. The neighbouring property does have right of way across the garden but is rarely used.

A Gem in Walditch
We had a wonderful stay at Primrose Cottage. The location in the quiet village of Walditch is superb: peaceful and green, yet close to everything you could want.
The cottage itself is beautifully kept and fully equipped; we genuinely didn't need to bring a thing. The kitchen had everything for proper home cooking, and the whole place felt comfortable and welcoming from the moment we arrived.
The garden was a real highlight. We spent many happy hours out there with a book and a glass of wine, and it's a lovely spot for breakfast in the morning sun.
Primrose Cottage is also perfectly placed for exploring. The beaches and the dramatic cliff coastline are just a short drive away, and Bridport is right on the doorstep: a charming town with a great feel to it. The Saturday and Wednesday markets are well worth timing your visit around; lively, full of character, and packed with local produce and finds.
We'd happily return and can highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing base in this beautiful part of Dorset.
