Garris Farmhouse
Situated on a peaceful hillside in the ancient village of Gulval, Garris Farmhouse is a beautifully restored two bedroom stone terraced farmhouse offering comfort, character and a deep sense of peace. This area is steeped in history dating back to the Iron Age, the farmhouse is close to the remnants of the Chysauster settlement and just moments from the sea, so is the perfect escape for those seeking rest, nature and a touch of nostalgia.
Sleeping four in comfort, the home features a welcoming beamed sitting-room, huge sink into chairs and sofas with a cosy wood-burner ideal for unwinding after coastal walks. A second wood-burner warms the newly appointed kitchen/diner, blending rustic charm with modern touches. Gather round and plan your day's adventures whilst admiring the views of the fields beyond. The snug invites quiet moments or evenings spent enjoying vintage games from the owner's thoughtful collection and a convenient downstairs cloakroom adds extra practicality.
Upstairs the spacious double bedroom boasts restful views of the sea in the distance, whilst a second bedroom has a versatile 'zip and link' bed ideal for couples or friends. A large shower-room provides a refreshing retreat.
Every corner of this gorgeous home reflects care and comfort, from handcrafted upholstery to considered fittings. Although there is no private outdoor space, guests are warmly invited to stroll the rolling fields owned by the hosts, perfect for picnics, stunning night skies for star gazing or admiring sweeping sea views. Swallows dive overhead in summer skies and you may spot the resident barn owl at dusk. As the original owner and farmer of Garris Farmhouse once said: "when the swallows arrive, summer is on its way".
Your canine friends are most welcome to enjoy the experience and will appreciate the excellent walks directly from the front door.

Mr Fewings
We had an absolutely lovely time here. We had the pleasure of being the first ones to stay on this beautifully appointed cottage and it was a joy. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen, lovely inglenook fireplace. Best of all the owners actually live in Cornwall which is getting very hard to find so we will definitely be going back again. When we go there there were some yummy biscuits and some absolutely gorgeous flower displays in the kitchen and living room which was a lovely touch. There are many photos of family and cottage history around the place as the owners said it has been in their family for a very long time. It was such a lovely experience being able to talk to them about its history. There is a lovely pub about 40 minutes walk down the road, and some lovely walks around and about. A fantastic find this cottage was, we can’t wait to go back!
