Reviews

Perfectly situated in the heart of the popular sailing village of Seaview on the eastern side of the Isle of Wight, 7 Sandpipers is a well-equipped town house set across three floors, ideal for either a family holiday or friends looking for an island getaway where even the dog is welcome.

Sandpipers is conveniently situated just a short stroll away from the beach and village amenities in a quiet courtyard of similar properties. The ground floor is home to the open plan living space with dining and kitchen areas and all the equipment you will need to cook a holiday meal. The sitting-area has patio doors so you can choose to dine inside or al fresco depending on the weather.

Climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find bedrooms one and two and the family bathroom. Bedroom one is light and bright thanks to the dual-aspect windows and has a comfy king-size bed for a restful night. Bedroom two is a single room with a 2'6" bed, suitable for a child only. The family bathroom has a bath with shower over so you can choose either a long soak or a refreshing shower after a busy day at the beach.

Climb the stairs to the second floor to bedroom three with a comfy king-size bed and TV with DVD player. There are distant sea views from this room. This room has a lovely en suite shower-room and is light and bright thanks to the Velux window.

Outside, 7 sandpipers has a small, secluded rear garden, perfect for sitting in the island sun and dining from dawn until dusk. With everything close at hand, this pleasant property has all you need for a holiday on the Isle of Wight.

Customer reviews

Good or bad, we publish all the reviews left by the guests who have stayed at this property.

Mrs Bundock

The property is in an excellent location but needs a very great deal of care and attention to make it a comfortable place to stay.

Mrs Curran

Great location for beach, pub, shop and walking. The Property is tired and needs some basic repairs. We found it not value for money, and very expensive for the dog, considering they weren't allowed on the furniture, or upstairs and the decking wasn't very nice for any dog. I would not stay here again, and after re-reading the reviews it doesn't seem like they've gone in and fixed anything. I would use classic cottages again, but please re-evaluate this cottage, as its definitely not worth its price for a week, plus extra for a dog, and shouldn't be offered at that much money in the state it's in. If you're looking for a nice beach stay, close to a pub, and a beach its good for location, but if you're looking for somewhere functional and cosy to stay, it's not ideal.

Mrs Smith

A clean and basically equipped property. Its central location in Seaview is it’s big draw.

Mr Bellamy

A comfortable and spacious property in a great location.

Miss Hudson

I like 7 Sandpipers, it is in a great location. Must be good as this is my fourth visit !

Mrs Allington

The whole property appears to require a complete redecorate. The shower over the bath didnt work and the water was more of a trickle, the showerhead in the ensuite could not be adjusted and came out at an angle meaning you had to stand in the corner to get any chance of getting wet and unless you were over 5' 6" you wouldn't have got wet. I am 5' 4" and had to use the shower over the bath which wasn't ideal as when I put my arms up they hit the ceiling. So tall people use the ensuite, short people use the bathroom. The kitchen handles felt dirty and greasy and there were no wall cupboards which meant the mugs, glasses & saucepans were kept out so consequently were dusty and had to be washed before they could be used. There were cobwebs on the ceiling, suggesting the property hadn't been property cleaned and in the bread-bin were crumbs from previous occupants. There was no hanging space in the main bedroom and the top drawer in the chest of drawers had broken so couldn't be used. Also the drawers were lined with newspaper, which is strange as the print may have come off on clothes. We washed the crockery/cutlery and glasses we wanted to use and kept them to one side, but overall I would suggest the property needs a complete redecorate and attention to the shower room and bathroom especially. I would not stay here again but I would consider using Classic Cottages again

Mrs Hurcombe

The four of us plus our small dog enjoyed a really nice stay here. Ideal for dog walks to the beach and along the coastal path and great little cafe a minutes walk away.

Miss Hudson

An excellent and ideal location in Seaview.

Mr Bellamy

A light, spacious and comfortable holiday home in an ideal location.

Mrs Knights
