Elgin Retreat is a lovely cottage in a beautiful location. So peaceful. The surrounding gardens are lovely and we were so impressed by the handmade wooden ornaments, and all the facilities (Sauna, Hot Tub and bar). The beds were very comfortable, and the welcome pack exceptional. Loved the home made scones, cream and strawberries! Lara and Adrian were so welcoming and made us feel very at home. A great place for bat watching! Really enjoyed our stay.

Hay

An amazing space that is beautifully kept. Intricate details that we kept discovering throughout our stay. Warm hand baked scones on arrival were a delight also. Our labradoodle Dudley came home shattered from all the smells and excitement. He loved it here also. The hosts are two talented and extremely interesting people. 10/10

Grum

Lara and Adrian went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The provision of basics and treats in the kitchen on our arrival were very welcome.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Elgin Retreat and will visit again.

My wife and I had a fantastic relaxing holiday.
The surroundings were very quiet, the hot tub was great every day, there is a sauna, although we didn't use it and the facilities are of a very high standard and a very large comfortable bed
Lara and Adrian are very friendly and helpful hosts and the scones and other goodies were very nice
It's a perfect location for an Isle of Man holiday.

We have just returned from another wonderful break at Elgin. This really is a very special place set in the most beautiful & peaceful surroundings made all the better by Lara & Adrian's hospitality which leave you wanting for nothing and feeling instantly relaxed and at home!

You can look forward to special touches such as fresh flowers from the garden and Lara's legendary home made scones and there is always a new creation of some kind either in the garden or cottage from the talented Adrian who has the enviable ability to create something out of almost anything!

Ramsey is just 3 stops away by electric tram (the Lewaigue stop being a 2 minute walk from the cottage), or 5 minutes by car. Super handy if you need supplies or you want to enjoy a little trip on the tram and do a bit of shopping. Pure Inspirations is a wonderful shop full to the brim of all kinds of lovely things for gifts or a little something to remember your trip and The Fynoderee Distillery is a great little place to enjoy a drink while you wait for the tram back.

What better way is there to end the day than to have a chilled glass of wine whilst relaxing in the hot tub - just perfect! :-)

A very warm welcome from the owner and a delightful welcome pack, including freshly baked scones. The property was nicely decorated with is own private patio, there is also another seating area adjacent to the hot tub and sauna and next to that a bbq area and small bar. The grounds are beautiful and the owners encourage you to make use of the gardens. The beach is a 10 min walk down the road. This property is a welcome respite from a busy world, quiet and secluded.
