Venturing slightly further afield you will find the market town of South Molton, both offering a healthy helping of amenities, cafes and even a pannier market.
Being nestled in-between the two coastlines, a day at the beach on either the northern or southern coast is within an hour's drive, and right on your doorstep you have an abundance of walks and trails to enjoy - your four-legged friend(s) will be in their element.

If you're looking for a quiet and peaceful place to escape to this worked well for us. Nothing was left out and we felt very comfortable.
Mrs Rowden-Taylor
We had a fabulous week at the cottage. It was very quiet as the other cottages were not occupied during our visit and we only saw one person all week. The cottage is well equipped and very comfortable. Some lovely country/river walks locally.
Mrs Egan
The location and view is beautiful and peaceful. The cottage is cosy, clean and has a pleasant decor with good facilities but no tumble dryer. The beds are to die for! Slept so well. The heating is very good but we turned it down as it was too hot for us in May. Plenty of hot water and good shower and bath facilities. However, in winter it would be welcomed! The owner did respond quickly to offer to dry our clothes.

Very peaceful spot in the middle of nowhere. Lovely safe garden for the dog to explore. We spent days at the coast (Porlock Weir, Croyde and Woolacombe). We also spent a day on Dartmoor. South Molton is the nearest big town and we enjoyed the Pannier Market there on the Saturday.
Mrs Broster
We had a fantastic holiday lots of walks and the views are beautiful. Beautiful towns to explore not to far away. Cosy fires in the evenings with a glass of wine.
