This is a house you can snuggle into on a wet day and throw all the windows open when the sun shines.

A really lovely place for a wonderful family holiday.

Large comfortable house with generous garden. All very clean and tidy and well equipped, Plenty of space for all to congregate in kitchen and for outside eating and BBQ. All expectations met.

We have just stayed at Meadow Gate with our family. There were 15 of us of all ages and we had a wonderful time. The house was extremely well equipped and was very comfortable and relaxing. We loved being able to walk straight out of the house to the sea. We would definitely return

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Meadowgate. A beautiful and comfortable cottage. The walk from the door to the beach is only about 10 minutes and is perfect to watch the sunsets, or to venture further along the dramatic coastal paths. Thoroughly recommend

A wonderful spacious, well-equipped house, in a hidden corner of Devon, with easy access to the beach. My granddaughter named it the WOW house - and it really is!

You’ll have a lovely time no matter your age, be it newborn or 80! We swam, cycled, fished in rock pools and enjoyed the peacefulness of Meadowgate. Even quieter at night than our own rural home!

We had a lovely holiday at Meadowgate. The house was wonderful and clean, with a beautiful bunch of flowers on the table on arrival. The space was perfect for 14 people, with plenty of space for playing or for taking yourself off for some quiet time. The house is perfectly located, requiring a short walk or even shorter car journey to the beach. Great location for exploring the rest of North Devon too.

A great property for a family gathering! 14 of us had a fab holiday in this beautiful house. We loved the location just a short walk from Welcombe Mouth where we had a wonderful Wedding Celebration on what appeared to be our own private beach! The house is beautiful. Comfortable and Welcoming…..what more do you need for a lovely family holiday!

Beautiful peaceful area, house was slightly disappointing, tired and in need of some TLC. Plenty of room and an excellent well equipped kitchen. Watching deer in the morning in the garden was a real treat.

A very comfortable holiday home which easily accommodates a large family with varying ages and varying tastes in leisure activities

Our stay was a sad one as we were a family of nine staying there for a funeral. However the house was so beautiful, comfortable and welcoming that we ended up having a really lovely time of family bonding. The cottage had everything we could possibly need. It was decorated in such a way that it just didn't feel like a holiday cottage. It felt like you were in a family home. We all loved it so much, that we want to come back another time with the same family members for an even happier holiday than the last.

Our second visit - which we enjoyed every bit as our first. The house works well for all ages.

This is a lovely place to take families to and the games room was a great advantage ..also two sitting rooms meant we could spread out as a family .

We had the most perfect week at Meadowgate. Everything we could possibly have needed was provided. So much space for all our families, 3 with children ranging from 1-14! All children had fun on the rope swing and playing hide and seek. We have such wonderful memories we will cherish. Thank you!

Lovely house which easily and comfortably accommodated our party of 11. Great location, as just a short walk from a beach which we all loved. Good pub in the village. What is not to like?

We loved this cottage and location. Would not hesitate to recommend for a coastal retreat with family or friends.

The cottage is lovely but very remote and be prepared for very narrow lanes.

Meadowgate was a great venue for an extended family gathering and everyone had something positive to say about it. The kitchen was the central gathering point for us, large enough for everyone to be in, and very well equipped.

This is an amazing location and a comfortable, beautiful and practical family house.

A great choice for a family get together. We couldn't fault Meadowgate. It was everything we had hoped for in a holiday home.

We had a fantastic stay here. It’s a lovely house in a lovely, quiet setting - exactly what i was after. Everything was as described and there were 12 of us, including 4 children under 5, but the house is plenty big enough. Wish we could have stayed longer but couldn’t afford 2 weeks ?? Maybe we will visit again one day!

We have now had 11 holidays at Meadowgate and it won't be our last. We love the remoteness of the property. We have a lovely relaxing week knitting and sewing and leave looking forward to our next visit.

We had the most marvellous week at Meadowgate, happy memories were made, far too much fizz partaken in the most comfortable home and garden......7 days of comfort, joy, happiness, beds were soooo comfortable,we had everything we could possibly need and haven't stopped promoting the cottage to family and friends since we returned home, thank you!

The most wonderful way to celebrate my 50th birthday with my fabulous family in a perfect house lots of laughter, food and tons of memory making. I am positive it couldn’t have been any better.

Exceeded expectation. What a fabulously comfortable and well equipped house. Perfect to a large family group. Every time we needed something it could be easily found. Wonderfully spacious kitchen. The house made our holiday in what was a rainy Devon week.

The perfect house and perfect location for a relaxed week with friends - we absolutely adored our stay!

Beautifully furnished & room for 15 of us. The super cove is a very short walk. The local pub is also superb. We all had a great time with ages ranging from 2 to 65.

Meadowgate is a beautifully secluded house perfect for a big get together with family or friends. We loved the easy walk to the dramatic beach and the house really felt like home from home.

An ideal cottage for an extended family holiday. A lot of thought, care, time and flare has been given to making this a perfect place for all ages.

Can't wait for our 10th visit in Oct 2017. It won't be our last either.

Lovely, comfy squidgy beds, delicious, stress free cooking on the Aga, beautiful, quiet location. But think we may have frightened off the local wildlife by using the fantastic outside shower! If you love to buy local handmade crafts, Welcombe Pottery, just up the road is a good place to start. We will be back!
