Beautiful Bigbury beach is a superb day out for all the family. A magical sea tractor journey will get you over to Burgh Island when the tide is in, what a adventure that is for the younger members of the party.
The beautiful town of Kingsbridge is only a short car journey away.
If you want to really enjoy all the delights of Devon, Dartmoor is only a car journey away (approximately 40 minutes). Most certainly worth the effort.

Welcoming you to Mount Folly Farmhouse, a fabulous retreat which enjoys both coast and country. On entering Mount Folly Farmhouse you will feel immediately at home, this spacious yet cosy cottage is surrounded by magnificent scenery with views out to sea which are simply unrivalled. Not only can you enjoy this magical location from the grounds and house, but the bubbling hot tub also makes for the perfect spot to soak up the scenery from.

Perched overlooking Bigbury-on-Sea and Bantham beach, a day on the sand, paddling in the sea and building endless sandcastles has never been so appealing, especially as this experience is right on your doorstep.

Once back in the grounds of Mount Folly Farmhouse, you have a superb, elevated grass sitting-area, perfect for enjoying the sights, sounds and sun from your own garden, all followed by a dip in the hot tub, ending the day on the perfect relaxed note.

Retiring to this super house following an action-packed day is a real treat. The large open plan kitchen/dining and sitting areas make for a great communal space to all help whip up a feast, then all enjoy the fruits of your labour at the large dining-table, before cosying up in the sitting-area which is equipped with a fabulous wood-burner for those cooler evenings. When it comes to bedtime, three light, airy and welcoming bedrooms await, bedrooms one and three are treated with the most stunning sea views, gazing over the beach and out to sea is no better way to start the day.

We stayed at the lovely Mount Folly Farmhouse with our young family over the Easter holiday period. We didn’t want to leave and actually stayed on a few extra days due to availability. The house itself is very comfortable, it’s so well positioned with views straight out to the sea from many rooms in the house. We loved exploring the trails, walking to Burgh Island and we can’t believe the added bonus of fresh pizzas and bread by the owners on the weekend - it really is such good quality and value for money! Helen and Peter were wonderful hosts, very friendly and kind always. We are dreaming of our next visit already. It felt very Famous Five - our kids loved it, as did we!

Beautiful location, excellent hosts and spotlessly clean. Coffee and milk available for us on arrival which we really appreciated. Also loved the ability to be able to buy fresh farm produce and delicious pizzas on site! Absolutely loved the hot tub with glorious views.
