Stable End
Located in Grittleton, a short drive from both Chippenham and Bath, just on the edge of the Cotswolds, an area of beautiful countryside and picturesque villages, come and discover Stable End, a beautifully presented barn for one or two guests. As pretty as a picture inside and out, this sympathetic conversion of a working barn, close to the Estate of Grittleton House, is a delightful home-from-home, somewhere very special to enjoy a short break or longer stay.
Retaining and showcasing the original roof beams, step into the open plan living area to appreciate the space and comfort of this stunning barn, for relaxing, dining and cooking. Whether here for a special occasion or just in need of a break, after a day out and about return to Stable End after a stop at one of the many farm shops in the area, to rustle up a tasty meal - there's an oven and two ring hob. Or if you prefer someone else to do the cooking, head off to the local pub where you'll find a friendly welcome.
When your eyelids start feeling heavy, head down the hallway to your beautiful bedroom complete with super-king size bed and en suite shower-room. The lovely owners, who live nearby, have thought of everything to make your stay complete; plenty of storage for all your holiday clothes and 'Sunday best' if it's a wedding you're attending. And if the weather turns during your stay and the much-anticipated walk turns a bit muddy, fear not, there is a washing machine and tumble-drier ready for use.
To the front of the property is the pretty courtyard, with allocated dining and seating areas for Stable End and its neighbour, Weighbridge End, also accommodating up to two guests. Book the two barns together for friends and family and receive a 10% discount. On arrival, if you wish you can open up the interconnecting sound proof door (cleverly hidden behind a wall hanging) and enjoy lots of quality time together - please let us know if you would like this door unlocked during your stay when you make your booking.

Mr Sharpe
Everything about the property was spot on. Everything we needed was provided for and more. The cottage was exceptionally well equipped and spotlessly clean. The outside seating area was very comfortable and very well cared for. The village pub what is a two minute walk away and had a great atmosphere and served very good food
Mrs Bickley
Thank you so much for a lovely stay at Stable End. What a fantastic, clean, modern, fully equipped property. Just perfect for our mini break. The lovely high ceilings, gave a spacious feel and the modern decor was great, including a luxurious walk in shower. We enjoyed sitting in the courtyard and eating at the nearby pub, which was just a stroll away. Thoroughly recommend. We will definitely be back!
Mr Shepherd
Had fantastic stay at Stables End, convenient for Bristol, Bath as well as small picturesque villages. Would highly recommend Neeld Arms for meals just 2 minutes walk away.
Mrs Harper
We had a wonderful stay at both Weighbridge End and Stable End. The property was ideally suited to our multi generation family. The barns were spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The Welcome Basket and bottle of wine were greatly appreciated… and enjoyed! The Neeld Arms is a very short walk from the property and was great for a drink or meal. And a great Sunday roast to be had at the near by Old House at Home.
Mrs Head
We had a lovely stay in the cottage. The location is good for visiting many sites such as Bath, Castle Coombe etc The countryside is beautiful and peaceful. A cottage I would return to.
Mr Lapworth
Excellent property, comfortable, well situated for our needs, close to major arterial routes, but quiet village location. Spotless cleanliness and excellent overall property presentation. One minor improvement could be the addition of a few more cooking dishes, but overall great place to stay.
Mr Van der Kramer
